french press cozy

For a few years now {ahem} we've been wrapping our french press with a dish towel to keep the remaining coffee warm. Finally this morning Craig said, "Why don't you crochet something to go around that?!"  Duh. Why haven't I thought of that?  I was pondering how I love having craft supplies and making things, yet, I forget to make things that we really could use and do need. So I perused Pinterest {of course} and found a free pattern for this cozy you see pictured above from A.C.Moore. It's called "Sugar'n Cream Coffee Cozy". Click Here for the pattern in a pdf! So now I have my evening project lined up... it shouldn't take too long at all.

BTW: French Press coffee is my favorite! And the best thing about it is that there is no waste-- no liners, no plastic cups (I hate Keurig for that reason alone), and the coffee is so delicious. Of course I add milk and make it blonde! ;)  ha ha ha.... I had to!

What a great idea! I think I'll knit up a couple of those cozies for my press and my daughter's. I love french press too but The Professor prefers brewed. No Keurigs in our house either.
