all things coming to a close

Over the past weekend I got to try out my telephoto lens. Tomorrow is the last day of school, so the kids had Award Ceremonies. Caroline received hers on Friday for Social Studies and Science. They were dressed very casually because they were all off to the Eighth Grade picnic in a neighboring park which Caroline said was one of the "best days of her life"!  She's growing into a beautiful young woman and can't wait to start High School in the fall!  Both of my kids are almost as tall as me now!

Nathaniel's Award Ceremony was this morning and he received one in Science and English. He didn't pose for the camera! ;)

This past weekend was Nathaniel's soccer tournament to end his Travel Team season. It was conveniently at our High School (which we live practically right behind) on their new turf fields. Craig's parents came up all day Saturday to visit and watch and we had a good time with them. The boys played their hearts out but did not win any of their games.

Do you see how BIG Nathaniel is getting?!!! Those long legs... wonder where he got that?

He's great at defense and great in the goalie box... look at that kick!!

Another save by Nathaniel...

He was a little burnt out by the tough season and was going to hang up his cleats, but some of us got together and we talked about how much fun Rec ball is like we did before, and to make a long story short:  Nathaniel is going to play Rec ball in the Fall and Craig is going to coach again!! We are all so happy and excited to go back to the old venue. Happy to have a break this summer also as Travel Team is all year long!  Caroline will be playing Rec soccer too in the Fall, so I'll definitely be a soccer mamma!

This was a big weekend at Church too because Nathaniel served his first Mass as a Junior Alter Server and Caroline served her first as a Senior Alter Server! Father Caulkin was nice enough to announce it and they got a round of applause. We were so proud! They did a perfect job.

This week is super busy as my Dad and Stepmom will get here Wed. to visit us and I have some fun things planned. Right now it's clean, clean, clean! Hope you're having a good day!
