I picked up my second CSA share this afternoon and I was hoping that I'd see some strawberries! Oh, these are soooo good! Nothing beats getting them the day they were pulled off the vine (and chemical free). We got some bok choy, turnips, butter lettuce, arrugula, spinach, and mixed spring greens. After all the rain we've had, we were lucky to already have a second share. Last week some beautiful radishes were also available. I love that I have to expand my menu by finding ways to cook these!
Speaking of cooking, I really am thankful for so many comments, suggestions and emails about where to find gluten-free information! I picked up Gluten-Free On A Shoestring for ways to make it more affordable because the flours alone can be outrageously expensive. I also discovered gluten-free things that were already in my cupboards, like my very favorite LARABARs which I was eating for their low sugar and minimal good ingredients anyways. I'm doing a test through an independent lab tomorrow, just to make sure there are no other surprises with food intolerances. And wouldn't you know, I had seen her book before but didn't pay attention to it-- Elizabeth Hasselbeck wrote The G Free Diet so I'm going to read that too. (I exercise on the treadmill to her!)
I was thinking about my blog... such a mix of things that I write about or post! I use it like my own little library of information for most things that I do. Sometimes I wonder if anyone else even is remotely interested in most of it? ;) I guess you can just read or look at what you want to and ignore the rest! I've thought about narrowing it, especially after my last bootcamp class, but then it wouldn't be as much about me so I'm just going by what I enjoy talking about-- as if you were here and we were just talking.

A blog after my own heart! Not pretentious, not full of it's self....just good old fashioned musings and ponderings!!
I enjoy the posts, but you have to exam what you want your blog for. If you want it to fill a specific need, then you need to mold it to that. I'd miss the conversations, though.
Glad to hear you joined a CSA this year. We decided to pass. It is just so hard for these eaters of mine to really do it justice. I've vowed to regularly stop by the farmer's market and pick up the items we'll eat. Enjoy the berries!

Our student we took to NYC was gluten free so we ended up going to Babkycakes- a gluten free bakery and searching out great veggies and sweet potato fries :D I know a lot of people are not eating gluten these days so think you should be able to find a lot of recipes and good eats! Hope you're feeling better and glad to see you back in class!
