"Silent and listen are spelled with the same letters" ~ Albert Einstein
This has been another busy, quick week and here it is already Friday! I am going down to Central Market next for my weekly groceries, but I wanted to wish everyone a good weekend! I will hopefully be finishing my last assignment for the Artist Bootcamp I'm in which is due by Sunday, watching another soccer game, taking Caroline to her tennis lesson, cleaning and cooking as usual, and a few other weekend things.
In the midst of all of this, I want to focus on listening. Specifically listening in prayer. I think this is really hard. It's easy to do all the talking. Sometimes posting seems like a one-sided conversation until someone comments! My last post led to a great discussion with a good friend (we tend to do that via emails instead) and I like to listen to people's points of view. I've noticed also how I sometimes give God the personality of people I've known in the past and that's not always good. So when I do that, I try to think of Him more like Fred Rogers, who is one of my life role models. Then I want to sit and be silent and listen to whatever it is He has to tell me!
"When I say it's you I like, I'm talking about that part of you that knows that life is far more than anything you can ever see or hear or touch. That deep part of you that allows you to stand for those things without which humankind cannot survive. Love that conquers hate, peace that rises triumphant over war, and justice that proves more powerful than greed."
— Fred Rogers
I hope you have a good weekend!

What a great Fred Rogers quote! I had never seen it before.
Interesting. I know when I ask a question in prayer I usually get a clear reply the next day. I hear it but sometimes it is hard to listen to the answer.
