spring is coming!

Anthropologie
I have decided to halt all spending on clothing for myself right now, which is really hard to do considering spring is right around the corner. Instead of just talking the talk, I decided to walk the walk and change my eating and drinking habits, take supplements, go to a natural health doctor about my hormone levels, and destress. So I'm in limbo right now, wondering what size I might be in and if I will be wearing what's in my closet or if things will change (for the better!). A few years ago I had started to sew too, and I'm thinking it's time to embrace making my own things again. They will fit better anyways-- when you're 5'10" it is hard to find clothes that are made the right lengths. I just got an Anthropologie catalog in the mail today (I don't buy fashion magazines anymore... no need, considering all the catalogs that come!) and it made me itchy for something new! This year is different though... Caroline can fit into size 1 now, so I end up imagining everything on her instead of me! I also realized that there is a store right there in Glen Mills where I was last week, so maybe we'll have to go check out the sales racks. Caroline is being Confirmed in March and she does need a dress. Okay... enough rambling on about shopping. If you want to read an excellent book about getting healthy and solving beauty issues naturally, you should read Kat James' book The Truth About Beauty. It is such a different approach to looking and feeling good, for women and for men. I will probably write more about that later as I go through my own transformations. Happy March and Happy Birthday Dad!!! ;)

p.s. Sorry I had to change my comment setting but I was getting spammed! Hopefully I can change that back in the future.

Good luck with all the choices you are making. I wish I had the willpower to change what I eat...too much suger in me!!

You can do it, Beth! If I can, anyone can :) The fun part of losing weight and feeling healthier is that I was able to the shops and purchase smaller sizes of slacks :)

I would love to get together and pick your brain about some of this. Once I'm home again next year, I really want to get back to healthier eating and cooking. I know you can do it, if anyone can!

Spring is a nice time to take decisions about food and Health I think. I'll have to take decisions as well, as I'm in a part of my life where I can't eat anything without consequences :)
Happy March and Happy Birthday to your dad!
