If you are just not into gardening, then there are other options: Local Harvest is a great website which allows all of you here in the States to enter your zipcode and it will tell you where you can go locally for fresh vegetables and meat OR go under the CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) tab and find out where there is a group to join. My experience is that these groups, especially if they are good, sell out shares pretty quickly. Some allow you to work for part of your share or you just pay the full price. Some put you on a years waiting list. If it's too much food for you, then you could go in with a friend and split the cost.
You can also find a list of Farmer's Markets in your area on the Local Harvest site. Besides being fresh, local food, they are fun to shop at compared to going to a grocery store. More farmer's markets are popping up everywhere these days. Even typing in "Farmer's Markets" in Google listed some in my area!
I'm looking forward to having fresh asparagus again (Nathaniel's now claimed favorite vegetable) and other things straight out of the garden... yum!

I've been trying to think about spring and the garden but it's hard when winter keeps reminding us it's not over yet. We got about 16" of snow from Sunday morning to Monday morning. We're suposed to get another couple of inches later in the week, too. Our record snowfall is 98.6 inches. We are about 21 inches short of that now with plenty of snow time left. Average is about 56 inches. Snowshoeing over the weekend was great fun though! :)
