We got a huge thunderstorm last evening and the cable went out (so did the internet)... so we all got out our sketchbooks and started to draw. The only bummer was that Muse was in concert and we were listening to that (see the guitar player above). I love that my kids are just as creative (or more so) than I am. I think it's time to resurrect Hatch, but not so much as a teaching studio, but my own studio. My dream is to illustrate, so I'm going to turn my space into a real studio. The rain kept me from playing tennis today which is stinky but I'm back to doing yoga again and that's really good for me in more ways than one. The leaves are starting to change colors because of the dry summer and fall is coming closer! I was just in Ohio to attend my cousin's wedding, which was so beautiful, and catch up with family and friends. Weekend trips are just not long enough! Especially when you start driving out and five hours later realize that you left your hanging clothes in the closet for the wedding and have to turn around and drive five hours back (in the pouring rain which you just drove out of) to get them. We got there a day late and right before we had to change to leave for the wedding! But we made it. I made a whole playlist for the car too on my Ipod, but didn't even play it. I get so nervous riding that I end up watching the road the whole time when I'm not driving! I'm sitting here in my studio right now (messy, messy, messy) and realize my calendars are on August. Time to clean this place up!!!
