IF: racing

Aaaaghhh!!! I just can't do what I want with this Illustration Friday drawing! I really wanted to show all the colors and patterns in the jockey silks, but it just isn't working. I started another drawing from behind, but there's just nothing special about it. I picked the Kentucky Derby since I grew up across the river from it, but I just don't have enough time this week to do it justice. I might revisit it for my friend Bryan who used to be a professional jockey... he was looking forward to this picture. Well, the good news is I spent more time this week cleaning up my studio, so the white tables are completely clean! I'll take photos later... it's nighttime now and too dark. I'm not going to link to Illustration Friday with this (obviously).
