At the Newport Aquarium in Kentucky
Sometimes I stop and just look at my kids and wonder how they got to be this big so quickly! And then I find some things they've written and their voices sound more like young adults than the little kids they used to be. I'm so proud of the people they are turning into and will be even prouder when I send them out into the world as adults. Recently Caroline started her own blog and hearing her voice through her words is just amazing as her Mom! They are at their grandparents' house this week with all their cousins, so the house is really quiet and I'm getting a taste of life as a parent of adult children. I'm not sure if I like that yet!!!

Sounds like someone is missing someone!!!Don't worry,it will still be awhile before they are off to college!:)
My children are only 4 and 7, but I am still amazed at how fast time flies!
I still miss my daughter terribly and she has flown the coup for many years now. It is just sheer joy when we get together for a day out. I hope they had a wonderful time at their Grandparents house.

Hi Beth!
They both look so grown up! I am glad that it is just a taster of empty nesting at the moment and that you will have both the kids home for a while still!
Enjoy the peace - they will be home and the house will return to normal before you know it!!

Thanks for sharing the blog link...that's so cool! Good for her! Enjoy the rest of your week...they will be back before you know it!
What a nice picture! Enjoy your time to yourself this week. May you find inspiration in the ME time!
Yes, just wait until they're both adults and you have the house to yourself and then they come home and they're your peers and not your kids...but it is good.
Tes enfants sont magnifiques ! My baby girl is already 10! I agree with you. Time flies! I always put time adjusting to the age of my daughter.
