Lately the creative projects around here have been of the crafting and decorating sort. I was sick all weekend so yesterday I sat in my big velvet chair and crocheted some tiny granny squares for my
Bright Star sweater that I'm trying to recreate. I think I got the yarn right this time. It takes awhile to do each one so at this rate I might finish it by next year! There were "Little House on the Prairie" reruns on yesterday afternoon which is the perfect thing to watch when you're not feeling good and/or crocheting. The little "squares" (which are looking oval at the moment) are so beautiful... and so small!!!
The other work in progress is our kitchen/dining area/family room which we painted red with white trim a couple weeks ago. It's still not finished. We are putting up crown moulding and I have to put up the white drapes we bought. Actually Craig did all of the painting. I picked the color. I'll take more photos when it's finished but these are just to prove to my family that it really is painted! B
enjamin Moore Aura paint is the best-- two coats was all it took!

Just love the Little House reruns too!
Details! I need details! What yarn? Where's the pattern? I think I'm in love with those little 'ovals'.
Love the red! It matches my kitchen. I know it is BM but don't remember the specific color. I hope you are feeling better - sending healthy vibes that way! And, glad to see you are making progress on the crocheting. Did you take my reunion comment seriously???
Linda- I will post the pattern later. The yarn I mentioned in my link to the original post about the sweater. I got it through Purl Soho.
Becky- Yes! I took it seriously but doubt I can do it in time. I'm still trying! Promise me you'll come and I promise to wear it!
Laura- Hopefully I WILL finish it! I heard they have the Little House shows on DVD now! ;)
It's Valdani yarn and the hook is very tiny!!!
I just realized I was sick the last time I was working on this... not good! NO more sickness!!!
I LOVE the color you chose! I can't wait to see all of your finished projects!
Wow what a bold colour you chose! I've never been brave enough to use deep colours in the house. Always wanted too...just never brave enough! It looks fabulous.

The color in your kitchen is very close to the one we have in ours. You're lucky it only took you 2 coats though!! It took us 5 I think. I love it though!! :)
