it's coming...

Happy Groundhog Day! I guess our own Puxatony Phil saw his shadow and said that we will have 6 more weeks of winter today. That's not a surprise as we usually get most of our snow in February. And wouldn't you know, we just got a winter weather advisory that they expect the snow to come overnight! We'll see if it actually happens, but right now I'm ready to settle in, watch American Idol after dinner and maybe finish one of my books!
[The news of snow also inspired the little illustration above that I made with Adobe Illustrator!]

I am feeling like I am missing out on winter this year. It has been unseasonably mild here so far. We haven't even seen a snowflake. Hope you don't get to much snow.

We don't have Phil's tradition here, but at Clara's english school, they talked about “The Punxsutawney Groundhog Club” yesterday :)

Here's a little groundhog furry and brown
He's coming up to look around.
If he sees his shadow, down he'll go
Then six more weeks of winter,

OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I'm going to put my moonboots on!
Belle journée d'hiver !

Today we had our first two hour delay of the winter...only problem is, I have to wake up so early anyway, I was showered and dressed before I got the call! Oh well!
