My Dad and my Stepmom came in to town to visit with us on Friday through this past weekend! We hadn't seen them since Christmas so it was really good to catch up! We ate too much of course. We watched Nathaniel play soccer (they won!) and Craig coach.
We took them to a local winery for a wine-tasting. Unfortunately Pennsylvania wine doesn't compare to California. But it was fun anyways! I wasn't supposed to post this photo of them, so pretend you don't see them!
We played miniature golf and Glenda got 3 holes-in-one and won us a free game! Nathaniel got two holes in one! The LPGA should be calling soon! Time always flies when you're having fun. Caroline beat her Opa's bowling record on Wii. It was a sportsman's weekend, with football games on Sunday. Then the kids came down with colds and sore throats and were home on Monday and Caroline was home again today. I haven't accomplished a whole lot in the last couple days. I started my project of scanning in lion drawings for our Elementary school's directory. Here's a Kindergartener's drawing:
I am hoping to get back into some creative things. I cut more quilt fabric blocks today. And I have three more chapters to read in New Moon before I'm done! My friend Stephanie borrowed Twilight and is now becoming a fan too! I was telling Stacey that we should be planning an online Twilight party for the movie in November! Anyone have any ideas about that? ;)

Congratulations to Nathaniel and his team ! (I wont tell Clara about Caroline record, because she dreams of a Wii...) Bravo Caroline :) I like the lion drawing !
Have a lovely day :)
Beth,
Your dad looks great! I was thinking about you this weekend. I am glad you had a nice time visiting with them. It sounds like the kids got some quality time with their Opa too! What an accomplishment for Caroline to beat him in bowling!
The lion drawing is precious. And, I can't wait to see the quilt. The stacks of squares must be growing. Have a good one!
It certainly sounds like you had a great/busy weekend! I hope that both the kids feel better soon!
What a super weekend you had, it is always nice to get together with family.
Congratulations to Nathaniel,it must have been a fun game.
We also have the cold and sore throat thing going around here to, I hope soon they both will be feeling better.

Hey, Beth! It's good to "hear" from you again. Sounds like you had a busy, but nice weekend with family. Those are always the best kind! We, too, had the sore throat/cold thing...must be going around! Hope Caroline is feeling better!
oh, we totally have to party on opening night. I am in love with Edward. I am actually getting butterflies in my tummy as I read about their intoxicating romance. I am either hitting my peak or regressing to adolescence. Argh!!!

yeah! new moon is not quite as exciting....however....you will get it going for eclipse...which is action packed. i'm throwing a twilight party. my friends and i are going to dress up and go eat at a fancy place here in town. sans husbands or kids. then for the movie...husbands can join in. we might have to skip the movie if it is crazy to get tickets for all of us. then we will go watch the movie another day. but the fancy dinner.....ohh yeah....that we are having. and hopefully i will get my shiny volvo by then. hahaha! did you watch the twilight bloppers on youtube. you should. i almost peed my pants.
ok i got carried away and forgot to congratulate you golf wiz kid. well, tiger had to start somewhere. i know you are a proud mama!
How great for Nathaniel that his Grandmother got to see him win. That's a lovely way to spend a day. That little lion drawing would come up really well as a little stitchery. Children really are all the inspiration that we need aren't they? Jen
