another example of kokeshi

I saw these months ago on Meg's
Elsie Marley blog. Her friend made them for her and painted them to look like her family members! Aren't they fun? A simple solution!  See more of Lily's work at her etsy shop here!

And Olivia: I have tried to comment on your blog a couple times but Blogger has not let me! I think that it's the translation?  Anyways... I really like your blog and I found the photos of your soft kokeshi dolls and I love them! Aren't they cute?!

That is so cute to paint them up to look like family members. You could really have fun, and maybe give them as part of a birthday gift. Great idea!

I have been thinking about a fabric kokeshi. There is a sketch on my fridge that would translate easily into one. I keep looking at it and am trying to figure out the seams and order to put it together! I am sooooo glad that I am not the only commenter that blogger has issues with! I can comment when you can choose an identity that allows a URL but if the site only requires a google/blogger account....then no go! - Jen

Those are so great! I used to make peg families and take them to school with me- sort of similar... but I was ALWAYS disappointed with the peg dogs. I like your blog, It is very pretty.
