read this!

I found a new blog recently... well, she found me... Frazzy Dazzles written by Jen. I hope she doesn't mind but I borrowed her photo to show you what she posted about today! You have to go read her post... it's one of those ideas that gave me goosebumps!  She was writing about embroidering her children's drawings, to keep them permanently. And then she wrote about making them into a quilt for her bed, to sleep under all those lovely thoughts!! You must read her own words. I just love this idea! I wish my kids were still this little and I had thought about it. I know a lot of you out there still have little ones, so save this idea!! ;)

this is so funny cause i am working on a little embroidery for mothers day presents for the grandmas... I am just barely learning how to embroider, but it is already so much fun! I can't wait to start capturing their drawings and memories this way... thanks for sharing this wonderful blog!

What a lovely precious idea, to be able to have those lovely little drawings for ever. Some people come up with the best ideas.

Hi Bethany,

I just popped over to see what you were up to and saw some of my stitching! How lovely is that? Thank you so much for the link. Blogging has been such a wonderful experience for me in the past few days! To see this here has made my day! To anyone who wants to do this. It is just a really simple back stitch. Keep it simple I say. There are lots of other examples of women who do little embroideries like this of their kids drawings. I know a lady who is about to take her kids drawings off the walls, even though they are framed the kids are 16ish now and want them down...but she loves them so much she is going to stitch them up and cover cushions. She just doesn't want to be without them! Thanks again Bethany. I have loved meeting you - Jen
