I spent my day today with my son's fourth grade class on a field trip to the park to do a stream study! We waded into pretty cold water to find little invertebrate animals living in the stream which tell how healthy it is! Then we tested ph balance, nitrates, temperature, etc. We've had beautiful weather today, in the 70's, and that is supposed to continue all weekend!

Sounds like a great day out! I think wading about in the river would be fun. We had a nice day but it's only to be in the 50s all weekend!

That sounds like fun! I used to teach 4th grade... this post reminds me of how much I loved going on field trips and being in the classroom... but now i get to be with the best little students in the whole entire world... my brave and true!

Isn't it fun to go on field trips? My kids used to 'assume' I'd be one of the parents because I always volunteered.
We've had May Gray this weekend, even a sprinkling of rain. Even so, it has been wonderful to spend time with my family. Like a field trip :)
Hope you had a great weekend! The hot and humid weather is upon us. We decided to power wash the driveway - slow and boring process. It will look nice WHEN we get it finished. I have to google about sealing it.

Ahhh pond dipping. This takes me back. The pictures are wonderful. What fun they all had.
