I can't remember if I posted about Rob Ryan and his papercuttings before, but after seeing the show yesterday, I wanted to show you his art again!!! I LOVE his work! There is something about it that is so innocent yet so mysterious to me. This print, made from one of his papercuttings, is my very favorite and I wish I could buy it. I need to save up for it but maybe some day it will be mine! Rob has done such a variety of work with his images. Even my copy of Selvedge magazine has one of his illustrations on the cover! Some people get excited about movie stars. I get excited about artists and illustrators!

Hey Beth
I love his stuff too! Do you know that from a company called Clothkits here in the UK you can buy a skirt to make with a design by Rob Ryan = it's really pretty.
Have you also seen the book that he did?
Hope you're having a good Sunday!
I get so excited about artists and illustrators that I start throwing children's books at dinner guests demanding that they open the covers and liberate the masterpieces within....or I won't serve dessert! Jen
Bethany,
Thanks for the ideas for craft based on The Very Hungry Caterpillar. You must know Freya well...she loves a spot of glue, sticking and collage! Thanks - Jen
What a beautiful print, I have always loved papercutting, if only I had that talent!
I've handcut a few titles for scrapbook pages. Printed in reverse and then cut out w/ a craft knife. Not my cup of tea. I'm not well-suited for the precision required. The talent displayed just amazes me. It's neat we all have been gifted in different ways. The goal is to figure out our own unique gifts. Thanks for sharing. Wonderous example!!
Wonderfull work !!! I know it as I have put his blog in my favorites...
(Sorry for my bad english)
I've seen some of his work before. Yes indeed, brilliant work! I love it.
Bethany,
That is incredible...love his work!
Have a blessed and wonderful day!
