Spring is fully here now! The tulips have bloomed over the weekend! That's how I always know that the warm weather is here to stay. The wild violets are blooming all over the grass. Their colors are so pretty. The kids decided to take left over cardboard refrigerator boxes into the yard and build a fort with them! I always loved doing this as a kid. If you check with any appliance store, usually you can get them for free and it gives the kids at least an afternoon of entertainment! I think after they got bored of the fort, they broke it down and made "grass sleds" out of the cardboard! (We never did get enough snow this year to really sled!)
The concert last night was FANTASTIC! Michael Buble is so entertaining and charming. He truly puts on a great show and if he comes back, we'll go again! I am really tired today but it was worth it. Michael... come back!!!!

did you know the cardbox was named toy of the year? i mean this is something amazing for imaginative play! i love the fort. did it have "POSTED NO ADULTS ALLOWED!"? i can't even count how many forts i built when i was a kid. i even painted the walls and everything. i grew up on the same street as many of my cousins...so you can imagine in the things we made with out forts. the flowers looks great. we have tulips everywhere as well. i think they are my favorite flowers. hard to tell because i change favorites everyday!
Yay for springtime, green grass and cardboard boxes! So glad you had fun at the concert! By the way, you won the "Name That Sock Dog" contest...I just love the name Siesta. A little notecard is coming your way. :)

I have so many fond childhood memories of playing with boxes. The possibilities were endless: a house, a tank, a giant Valentine box!
All the green is beautiful! I love this time of the year when the color pops out!
I remember playing with big boxes too. There is nothing better. Your kids look like they are having a great time.
I love the fort. It makes me want to play in it... Imaginative play is the best!!! Have you gotten your copy of Amanda's book yet... the book is amazing! I want to do everything!
I really enjoyed grass sledding on cardboard. My grandmother sold Tupperware, so we also did plenty of casas de cardboard. Glad you enjoyed our concert!
i used to always make cardboard house out of big boxes. colored in windows and doors and my mom would cut them out. ahhh, the pleasures of being so entertained by cardboard.
