Baking day! I felt like baking something and found Sarah Foster's Lemon Almond Pound Cake recipe. I love anything with lemon in it. Later we'll eat it with whipped cream and blueberries. Yum. We're having dinner company tonight so the pork loin is marinating in a red wine - balsamic vinaigrette with dried cherries, shallots, garlic and rosemary. It smells delicious already! I've been bad today and yesterday with doing my drawing. And it makes no sense as I'm very excited about a couple drawings I have on my agenda!! (Thank you Stephanie!) And a painting waiting to be done... though that will take a lot longer. Got to run again. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I'll probably check in with you in the next couple days!

Oh gosh I so wish I could come to dinner - it all sounds fantastic! I had pizza with my friends visiting from Northern Ireland and my gloriously mischevious god-daughter and her sister! Have a great weekend!
The cake looks yummy! And, I am impressed you are having a dinner party. I used to be very good at that. I just haven't been in the mood. Perhaps, I will take some inspiration from you and plan something. It is so much fun to have people over, spruce up the house, and enjoy the food and wine. Hope all went well. Have a good weekend!
