I was inspired by Caroline to try my hand again. This time I did it in unforgiving ink pen. Sometimes I like how contour drawings are a little off because the concentration was more on the path of the line, than the whole. I have realized that it's the things that are not quite right that sometimes give art it's character. I almost forgot to do anything creative today so now it's late and I'm going to bed!

It's a lovely drawing and funnily enough, I have just sent you an email saying something similar. I think imperfections certainly add character, they reveal a little of the maker.

I visited your blog for the first time today, and had to add it under "inspiration" blogs in my favorites ... beautiful!

I LOVE this drawing! So simply and stark with a thin pen outline. Nice work!

I am impressed that you picked a pen. The drawing looks great.

I was thinking about you and Caroline while I was at choir rehearsal the other night. We are singing The Hand of the Lord by Daniel Gawthorp. When we came to "...and the hand of the Lord hath done this," the pictures of the hands immediately popped into my head. The piece is much broader than that. When I am learning it, it I tend to see the trees and not the forest. It takes times to really "feel" the music.

Give this link a listen matching song with drawing - http://www.dunstanhouse.com/media/mp3/0211-1.mp3
We can only hope to be half as good as this group:)

Very good. I don't think it looks wonky. I think we are just more critical of our own art.
