My Candidate...

Nation, as many of you know, Stephen Colbert announced his run for the presidential nomination in the State of South Carolina on Tuesday evening! I thought I wasn't going to be voting in the 2008 election for the main reason of disgust with the whole political system. But then a ray of hope came through! Now Stephen is running as the Favorite Son of South Carolina, as a Democrat and Republican, and injecting humor into it all! What you don't know is that I lived in Greenville, South Carolina for a brief but formative time in my youth (Kindergarten to be exact), so maybe they'll let me vote there (?). What you also don't know is that I get my news through Colbert Report and Jon Stewart's Daily Show about every day (a day late because we tivo them!). It's the humor at the end of my day which I usually need! So "VOTE COLBERT!! and be American!"

I heard about this too! I love it! I am frustrated with it all. Just yesterday, I was thinking I need to learn more about ALL the candidates that are out there. I just don't believe we have to put up with all until the election NEXT year!

I always want to watch the Daily Show - just can't stay awake - perhaps, a reason to get TIVO.

I did not remember you living in Greenville. I used to travel there lots for work. I loved the little town.

I don't think many people here in blogland agree with my political views. I say Vote Fred! Save the innocent babies!

Love,
Julie

What glorious news! I think Colbert would do much better than a previous "actor" that was in office in the 80's!
