Little trip...
The kids and I took a two hour trip today (in the rain!!!) to my sister's house because my mom was in town. She wasn't there but I got to see all my nieces and nephew! My sister is amazing-- she's always had the decorating talent. She could turn the ugliest little college apartment into the coziest, prettiest space! And she always does it so creatively, making what she can or finding wonderful bargains. I should hire her to do my house!! She and her husband bought an old farmhouse that had been in his family for years and have been slowly fixing it up. It is spectacular now! They are just finishing the kitchen and the dining area. They also added a lower family room and upper family room. She is so good with colors and picking out everything. I took a few photos, but they are kind of dark because of all the rain we had today:

Oh my gosh- that does not look like an old farmhouse- what a wonderful kitchen- I can't even imagine what it would be like to have so many cupboards :)
Your sister must really have a good eye, because even the dog seems to match the decor!

So glad you got to see your nieces and nephews. I miss my sister and her kids so much. They live in SC now and I only get to see them a few times a year. I miss my BIL too, don't want to forget him, LOL!

This is our first visit....I had to leave a comment because I think my sister is pretty talented, too! That kitchen is over-the-top incredible. Did she do the finish on the cabinets herself?

What a gracious farmhouse! I love the wood floors! I always wanted a sister and never had one. So I claim my sisters-in-law. I have a couple of wonderful ones. And then I get to choose honorary sisters!
