Another favorite, of course...

The kids and I watched (finally) "Miss Potter" and just loved it! Even Nathaniel, not only for the illustrations that come to life, but he is a HUGE fan of Ewan MacGregor! It's funny that I never thought a lot about Beatrix Potter, but when my friend Caroline suggested I see it, I realized that she is one of my favorite illustrators. When my daughter Caroline was born, I had decorated her nursery in a Beatrix Potter theme and my mom-in-law made a beautiful needlepoint throw with all of the characters, to hang on her wall. We tucked it away for safe keeping but I want to get it out and see it again! The movie made me realize that other artists had a whole world going on inside their heads too when they were children... I used to tell myself stories all the time--like a narration being played that only I could hear. It continued through my high school years and I think, sometimes it's there. That's where "momlove" comes from...the chatter inside my head. Unfortunately the wonderful imaginary stories haven't been there for some time. I am hoping someday I will remember some and be able to do something at least a tiny bit as awesome as Beatrix Potter!

I enjoyed that film too, I love curling up on the couch to read Beatrix Potter to the children, so nice to think they are the same stories that had as a child.

Don't worry about stressing me out, does is all good once in a while! I usually just spend too long procrastinating about these things I think, the key is to just get stuck right in!
