I have always loved Andrew Wyeth's quiet watercolors and one in particular at the Cincinnati Art Museum (which I can't find a picture of) that I always found and stared at when I was growing up. I looked for it online and found out that right now through May 6th, the Cincinnati Art Museum is having a special show of Andrew Wyeth's work! We just saw the largest collection of the Wyeth family's work at Brandywine River Museum but those of you who are lucky to be in Cincy, can see more!
The painting of a Pennsylvania Mill is so true to what you see around this area, especially in the snow right now! (though it is melting today.)
Below are two paintings by Andrew Wyeth's father, N.C. Wyeth who is known for his magnificent illustrations of the classics. After seeing both, I have to say that I lean more toward the illustrations for their beautiful color. But I love both artist's work. I am a realist at heart.

I LOVE Wyeth, and so does my sister the birthday girl. Happy birthday to your sweet son!
