Snow in March...

We got more snow last night and today! This is a photo of our new home. You really find out how long the driveway is when you have to shovel it!

I enlisted help for part of it:

They actually thought it was fun.
Did I tell you that the land that our house sits on used to be a Christmas Tree Farm? There are mature evergreens all around us and they looked beautiful dressed in white snow...

After shoveling, we took a little nature hike up the hill in back to track animals. We saw places where the deer have been nibbling at the bark. You can see the back of our house in this photo...

We hear owls at night also... there are several trees in the back that have holes in them-- perfect for owls to nest in (see below). They sound like this: whooo who who. Debbie, do you know what kind that might be? I still remember the Barn Owl from Mr. Henning's Biology class so I know it's not that one (that and we don't have a barn!)

Maybe spring will come soon but right now it really feels like winter!
